LOTOS was founded by the Schmidt family in Pforzheim, southern Germany — often called Germany's "Golden City" — with roots tracing back to 1767. This heritage is preserved and continues to influence the world’s luxury product handcrafts, alongside watch and jewelry institutions and museums.
